Mr & Mrs Smith {wichita wedding photographer} {kansas wedding photographer}

No one wishes for rain on their wedding day, but if it does happen to rain, embrace it!

Guerin & Erin were married on a very wet fall day, so we made some last minute changes for portrait ops. McKenzie Phillips Events was such a great coordinator to work with, and made everything fly off without a hitch, regardless of the weather! The first look was done indoors at Westin Crown Center, as were formal portraits at Country Club Christian Church. The sparkler exit went much quicker than we had hoped, but we still made it work! And although the sun never chose to make an appearance, the rain did stop long enough for us to grab some outdoor shots with the wedding party at both The Scout & Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Kansas City.

Their reception was held at Studio Dan Meiners, and let me just say, it’s a GORGEOUS venue for any event!

Erin worked timeless hours to plan the perfect wedding! The colors, the dress, the flowers, the venue, the meal, the decor…it was all just exquisite! Below are just a few of the hundreds of images from their wedding day, and I’m so happy they chose EKP to be a part it!

Emma :: 2nd Birthday Portraits {wichita childrens photographer}

January in Kansas can be bitterly cold, so we planned for an indoor session at the most adorable little donut shop around for Emma’s 2nd birthday session. Little did we know that it would be the warmest January day when we actually met, but we decided to stay inside anyway! Miri’s Minis is new in town, and Wichita could not be any more excited to have them! Their donuts melt in your mouth, and their rainbowed sprinkle milk is magical…until it spills…but eh, whatev!

Hope you enjoy this session as much as I do! Happy birthday, Sweet Emma!
